This year on Hiroshima day, Mayor and committed peace activist Tadatoshi Akiba will give his twelfth "Peace Declaration" in Hiroshima to commemorate the detonation of a nuclear bomb on the city by the United States during World War 2. We Need You In solidarity with Mayor Akiba and all those who fell victim to the attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Peace Action chapters and our partners in peace will be hosting commemorations around the globe on August 6 and 9.
