In eight years,  Pentagon spending has more than doubled to over $700 billion. We’ve spent nearly $1 trillion on war, wasted $60 billion every year on obsolete Cold War weapons, and maintained over 700 military bases around the world. Excessive Pentagon spending and continued wars hurt our economy AND international relations, WHILE not making us any safer.

We urge you, our elected leaders, to work with us for real security through international cooperation and human rights. We oppose the militarization of our foreign policy and support increased investments in diplomacy, humanitarian aid and international cooperation.

JOIN THE CALL TO:

1.) Save $60 billion annually by cutting obsolete Cold War weapons systems.

2.) End the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan. Bring all troops, contractors and the National Guard home.

3.) Reduce the global U.S. military presence and costs by closing unnecessary U.S. military bases overseas.

4.) Invest in diplomacy with Iran, in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the Middle East.
