Dear Supporter,
There's still time to make peace a priority in your year-end charitable giving and begin the New Year knowing you have helped lay the groundwork for campaigns to:
• Achieve a ceasefire in Afghanistan, pressing the Obama administration to enter into serious negotiations with the Taliban.
• Pressure Congress to sharply reduce Pentagon spending. Wasteful spending on war and unneeded weapon systems is bankrupting the nation. Create jobs, not war.
• Prevent war with Iran. Support an emphasis on a diplomatic settlement while opposing sanctions and threats in favor of more frank and open negotiations.
• Cut funding for new nuclear weapons complex. Spending over $200 billion over the next 10 years, developing new warheads and the means to deliver them hastens the proliferation of doomsday weapons.
I hope I can count on your year-end gift to help jump start our important work in 2012.
Humbly for Peace,
Kevin Martin

P.S. With only a few hours left before the clock strikes midnight, please consider Peace Action Education Fund as your choice to make peace a priority in 2012.
