Fall Birdwalk

The staff of the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center invite you to join us in finding, watching, and bidding farewell to migratory birds on their way to the tropics.

Meet us at 7 a.m. on Sunday, September 11, at the Rock Creek Park Nature Center parking lot (the end next to the Nature Center). We will explore the park's wooded ridges and brushy clearings and get good looks at a variety of birds, some from as far away as the northern boreal forest.

We will introduce those new to birding to the challenge and fun of fall "warblering." We will conclude with a reading of the list of all the birds we spot.
