Because Freedom Can't Protect Itself.

Come celebrate the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade with us at SPACE Gallery by participating in a new conversation about choice. We will screen the film "I Had An Abortion", which is a series of interviews with women who had abortions both pre- and post-Roe. This powerful film opens up a new and personal dialogue about abortion.

There will be an exciting panel following the film including MCLU Legal Director Zach Heiden, Bangor Theological Seminary Professor Marvin Ellison, Associate Pastor at the South Portland First Congregational Church United Church of Christ Elsa Peters, UNE Medical Students for Choice Member Lauren Nabiloff, Poet and Director of Stonecoast MFA Program in Creative Writing Annie Finch, and the Abortion Access Projects Maine Field Consultant Nancy Foss. Audience members will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and ask questions of the panelists.

When: Wednesday, January 28th
Time: 7-9pm
Where: SPACE Gallery, 538 Congress St, Portland

This event is free and open to the public.

Thanks for all that you do,

Alex, Alysia, Brianna, Edward, Katy, Marian, Shenna, Zach
