Since Barack Obama was elected, we've seen hate-related incidents all across the country. Freedom of speech includes the right to say things that are offensive, unpleasant and hateful, but freedom of speech does not insulate speakers from criticism, including criticism from the MCLU. Join us as we speak out against racism. Speakers from the MCLU, NAACP - Portland Branch, Center for Prevention of Hate Violence, Portland Mayor - Elect Jill Duson, Cumberland County Sheriff Mark Dion and many, many others will speak out against intolerance and racism in Maine and across the country. Together, we will respond to hateful speech with voices in support of tolerance and respect. Thanks for all that you do, Alex, Alysia, Brianna, Ed, Katy, Marian, Shenna, Zach If you would like to unsubscribe from this list, please reply to this email with "unsubscribe" in the subject line. |
