Imagine calling a doctor's office to ask a question about birth control and being told by the receptionist that she or he won't take your call. Imagine going to the pharmacy with a valid prescription from your doctor and being told you cannot fill it. The Department of Health and Human Services proposed a regulation last week that could limit women's access to birth control and could force family planning clinics to hire people that will refuse to do their jobs, making the examples above a reality. Before the regulation goes into effect, DHHS must allow 30 days for public comments. Take the opportunity to tell the Bush Administration and DHHS that the protections in place for reproductive health care must stand. Click here to learn more about the regulation. Click here to submit an official comment on the regulation. At a time when more and more Americans are either uninsured or struggling with the soaring costs of health care, the federal government should be expanding, not hampering access to important health services. Thanks for all that you do,
