Because Freedom Can't Protect Itself.

They just don't get it. As if the federal abuses of power weren't bad enough, now some in Maine want to take away our rights here at home. Last month the Maine REAL ID was signed into law, and Michael Heath announced his latest plan to take away anti-discrimination protections for gays and lesbians.

Enough is enough. Taking away our rights doesn't make us safer, but it does make us less free. We're taking a stand at the polls on June 10^th.

Sign up for a shift at an information table at your local polling place. Partnering with EqualityMaine, GLAD, and Maine Women's Lobby, we will be fanning out across the state to make sure that voters are informed about what the Heath referendum means for Maine. ¹

Join the People's Veto of REAL ID!

Sign up to collect signatures to help overturn Maine's REAL ID. We need 55,087 signatures by July 17^th to place a people's veto of REAL ID on the November ballot. Our allies have already signed up over 250 volunteers for primary day to assist in gathering signatures. We've promised to help them recruit 500 volunteers statewide. ²

We've watched in dismay while politicians in Washington cave to fear-mongering. Let's reject the politics of fear here at home in Maine. No to REAL ID, and no to the Heath referendum.
