We the undersigned, believe that California’s Proposition 8 violates the California Constitution’s guarantee of equal protection under the law.  We urge you to use the prestige and power of your office to block the enforcement of this mean-spirited and discriminatory initiative.  And you must also oppose all efforts to nullify the tens of thousands of marriages between same-sex couples already performed in California.
