President Hamid Karzai
Subject:
Your Letter:
I am writing to implore you to withdraw the new Shia family law that would take away women's basic human rights. I am joining together with women’s rights and human rights activists and organizations throughout the world to express my outrage over this abhorrent law. We beseech you to withdraw this law that strips women and girls of their basic human rights and is in violation the basic principles of Afghan's constitution for women's equality. Sincerely,
Hamid Karzai
