This Monday, Say No to Wal-Mart Supercenters!
Attention supporters of good jobs: Your voice is needed at City Hall on Monday to support a ban on "big-box" supercenters in San Diego. The City Council’s second and final vote to approve the ban is scheduled for this Monday at 2 p.m. and our continued support is crucial!
The Council tentatively approved a ban on the giant “big box” stores with a 5-3 vote in November. Wal-Mart is expected to bus in paid protesters Monday in an effort to reverse the decision. Wal-Mart notoriously pays low wages, doesn't provide health coverage, and attempts to put more responsible competitors out of business.
