Tell your Representative to Oppose Elimination of International Family Planning Funding

Women’s health and rights around the world are being sacrificed by the U.S. House of Representatives, ostensibly in the name of fiscal responsibility.

The House is currently debating a spending bill (H.R. 1) that, as it stands, would drastically decrease funding for international family planning and reproductive health, global HIV/AIDS, and maternal and child health programs and services.

Even worse, Rep. Latta (R-OH-5th) has proposed an amendment to H.R. 1 that would eliminate all funding for international family planning and reproductive health programs for the remainder of this fiscal year. Such a radical cut has never been seriously considered by any previous Congress, no matter how conservative.  The House is likely to vote on whether to approve Rep. Latta’s amendment in the next 48 hours.

We need you to speak out for women's health and rights today!
