Keep Comprehensive Women's Heath Care in Reform Bill

Getting a Comprehensive Health Care Reform bill through the House of Representatives was a victory with too high a price: the loss of reproductive choices for millions of women.

The health care bill that passed on November 7th includes a ban on private abortion coverage that women already have and would prohibit it in the 'public option'.

Furthermore, Sen. Nelson's addition to the Senate health bill creates unacceptable obstacles for women seeking secure abortion coverage and could result in millions of women losing coverage that they have today.

As Unitarian Universalists, we believe strongly that all people have the right to comprehensive, high quality health care and that women should be able to make reproductive health decisions based on their own values.

Please take a moment to tell the your House Representatives and Senators to protect women's health care as the final health care bill emerges.
