Twenty million women have received life-saving preventive care this last year thanks to the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Passed by Congress in 2010, this legislation is vital for the health and welfare of millions of Americans and has already proven its worth, and even more important preventative care services will soon be available without a co-pay, including contraception. Opponents of the ACA would prefer to give our health care back to insurance companies and are trying to keep open the same old political wars, and next week, just short of the ACA’s second anniversary, they’re taking the fight all the way to the Supreme Court.
