Harnessing Love’s Power
to Stop Oppression

No Anti-Immigrant Law in My State

On April 23rd, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed SB1070 into law. Among other repressive measures, the law requires local law enforcement officials to demand proof of citizenship from anyone whom they suspect of being in the country illegally. Failure to produce adequate identification will result in detention. While Judge Susan Bolton issued an injunction on July 28th that temporarily postpones the implementation of some of these measures, the legal and legislative battle is by no means over.

Currently, there are at least seven other states considering similar legislation. We must not let what happened in Arizona happen any where else in the United States.

Tell your governor to stand on the side of love with immigrant families by pledging not to sign any anti-immigrant legislation.
