DEADLINE TO TURN IN SIGNATURES: FEBRUARY 15th
Before California voters will have a chance to replace the death penalty on the November 2012 ballot, we need to gather 500,000 signatures from registered California voters. Please turn in signatures by February 15th to:
SAFE California Campaign
237 Kearny Street, #334
San Francisco, CA 94108
Online sign-ups are great, but they DO NOT COUNT toward putting SAFE CA on the ballot! To make the name of each registered California voter count, they must sign a paper petition. Here's what you need to know:
Step 1: Get trained
There are lots of ways to learn how to be an awesome circulator!
1) Watch the training video from volunteers in the field
2) Register for an in-person training or an online webinar

Step 2: Get connected
Find your local volunteer Community Captain! Community Captians are campaign leaders in local communities and neighborhoods around the state. The Captain in your neighborhood can help you find locations to circulate petitions, partners to go with you, and all the petitions you'll need to put SAFE CA on the ballot! Contact campaign staff in your region to connect with your local Community Captain.
Northern California: Ashley Morris, 510-239-7744
Southern California: James Clark, 626-344-0632

Step 3: Get active
Hit the streets in your local community! You can get petitions from your local Community Captain, or check with regional staff for a petition distribution center in your region. You can also sign up below to receive petitions in the mail.
