How is the Recession Hurting You or the People You Serve?
Tell us how the weak economy and cuts to services are threatening the livelihoods of people in your community. Your comments will help us to show the need for an economic recovery package that fully includes low-income people through reports, letters to Congress, and materials for the press.
Do you have a story of sacrifices people are making to pay their energy bills or groceries? Do you know of someone whose unemployment benefits will soon expire although (s)he cannot find work? Or who is out of work but does not qualify for unemployment benefits? Do you know of families who are losing their homes? Or who face loss of services because your state is making cuts? Or - can you give an example of an effective service with long waiting lists because there simply isn't enough funding?
