I told you so.

For over fifteen years, I have told you about the bravery and sacrifice of Aung San Suu Kyi.

You can witness her courage daily as Burma’s ruling generals put her on trial on fabricated charges.

As Nobel Peace Laureate and leader of the Burmese democracy movement, Aung San Suu Kyi has endured almost two decades of detention by Burma’s ruling military regime. Burma’s generals have kept her separated from not only her colleagues in the democracy movement but even her own family.

Aung San Suu Kyi will not break. She remains the military regime’s most feared opponent. Her example continues to inspire Burma’s monks, students, and workers to flood the streets to challenge the power of Burma’s ruling generals and continue to build the movement inside Burma of people determined to restore democracy and human rights.

This year, I am joining hundreds of people across the United States and around the world in organizing events and appeals to mark Aung San Suu Kyi's birthday on June 19th.

Do not let Aung San Suu Kyi be forgotten. Please support the work of the U.S. Campaign for Burma to free Aung San Suu Kyi and the over two thousand other prisoners of conscience held in prison by Burma ruling generals.

Please support her by making a tax-deductible donation below. Your contributions will be used by the U.S. Campaign for Burma to fund critical advocacy for freedom, democracy and human rights in Burma.

Please consider a donation of $64 to commemorative Aung San Suu Kyi's 64th birthday.

Thank you for your generosity.

In solidarity,

~Simon Billenness
