i hate what the government is doing and it needs to be stopped and it starts with one voice. that voice spreads to many. war is immoral the state is unjust and the politicians are courrpot. what we need is a revolution of the people, but that change has to come peacefully or we are as bad as them.

The U.S. has better things to do than kill people. I would rather spend Pentagon money on rebuilding lives and cities.

We need to get a grip on the US government as they are running a muck and they will apparently stop at nothing to gain even more power and control and they are killing innocent people in their rein of terror! The US Government is our real threat to all people, as they are now the "Real Terrorists" in our world and they keep proving that every day!!!

I believe the Iraq and Afghanistan "wars" are unjust and part of the internationally illegal expansion of the American Empire.

I'm sorry that only 907 people have signed this letter. I have no hope the US, which was founded in war and is grounded in war, will ever seek or believe in peace. I worked for a National Laboratory. Believe it that many people including our sainted Obama really want to use those weapons they've designed.

I am disappointed in Our government's policies. I thought we had a champion of peace when Obama was elected but it has turned out to be more of the same. Unfortunately it seems he is beholden to war-mongering republicans and weapons manufacturers more than he is to the Nobel committee who awarded him the Peace prize.

The wisdom of the ancient culture and life-styles of Afghani Peoples tell us poignantly that they do not desire nor respect the imposition of US ways of behaving upon their sovereign lands, and that they have courage never to yield to the invaders . US troops are in no way prepared nor motivated to live and learn from the hospitality of their people and must humbly and wisely admit to failure and bow out asap. The social problems rampant in this country need to be seriously addressed. Afghanistan should be allowed to develp in accord with its own environment and harmony.

I want all our soldiers to come home to their families and I want the money that will be ultimately wasted in Karzai's corruption to be used in improving the VA Medical capability and funding PTSD.

Killing to maintain an empire is not what America should be about. After reading Mike Ruppert's book "Crossing the Rubicon," Webster Tarpley's "Synthetic Terror: Made in USA," and books on 9/11 by David Ray Griffin, this Vietnam-era vet knows that the "War on Terror" is just a cover story for corporate empire-building. Educate yourself and stop the killing now!

I am opposed to any escalation anywhere. We have lost enough. My son is an OIF vet. Two tours. He is so screwed up mentally from what he saw there. Afghanistan will wind up being as bad. We need to get our kids out. Period. I myself am a veteran. I have another kid in the Navy. She has been to the Gulf on one of those Aircraft Carriers. We need to stop the war mongering and get on with the peace mongering. We need to conduct honest and clear dialogue with the leaders of Afghanistan and show them that war is NEVER the answer. I didn't vote for Obama cause I had a feeling he would be Bush lite. He has not disappointed me. The people in that part of the world need to be more proactive in their own security. We need to get a diplomat, not a military man like McChrystal (liar, recall Pat Tillman) who just wants to up the ante. Bring em home.

As a wounded Korean War veteran, I directly understand the futility of war. The Bush Administration must be held responsible for torture and other crimes. Pres.Obama must get the US out of the historical quagmire in Afghanastan
