Supporter,

Today, Bradley Manning turns 25. It's his third birthday in prison without trial (recent proceedings have still all been pre-military commission). The unjust persecution and tortuous conditions Bradley has been put through are horrible, but only further expose the government whose crimes he showed the world.
Let Bradley know just how much it means to all of us, throughout the world, that we have the truth about these wars in Iraq and Afghanistan provided through WikiLeaks. Send him a card or a letter (read about mail restrictions). Mail to:
Commander, HHC USAG
Attn: PFC Bradley Manning
239 Sheridan Ave, Bldg 417

Give a gift to the world! Ask for a gift for the world!
It's not too late. Send a gift that matters. Order today and we will mail to you or a designated address this week for receipt by December 24.

Mike & Sharon in Charlotte, NC write:
We did something different this summer. Because of some health concerns, we were unable to go out and protest as we have in the past. Instead, we housed some people who did put their lives on hold to make a difference. A group from The World Can’t Wait came and protested at the Democratic National Convention, being held in our home town. It was good to be woken back up to the fact that voting for President Obama, as a lesser of two evils, was not acceptable.
We live in a time where the world is becoming more aware of the immense good as well as evil that a country like ours can do. Technology for the first time could allow us to feed and provide care for everyone on our planet. Instead, our country chooses to still stay bogged down in attacking sovereign nations so that we can plunder their natural resources, our president carries a “hit list” of people our government has decided can be executed without due process of law, and we continue a failed war against drugs and against a pathway to legal immigration.

Protesting against the DNC in Charlotte

We see a constant parade of laws trying to obtain complete control over the internet, and a steady erosion of our rights as citizens of this country, instead of shoring up workers rights, and a look towards the future for sources of fuel and a resource based economy to shift the value of a person away from their job and amount of money they have, and instead to the value every life on this planet deserves. Our country seems much more concerned that Bradley Manning gets the maximum of what our laws can throw at him, when all he did was shine a light on what the people who serve us publicly, are doing in the shadows.
Debra Sweet, and The World Can’t Wait, has been a strong voice against international tyranny for years, and still continue the fight today. We do financially support, and would welcome the opportunity to provide other means of support if the opportunities presented themselves again. We just gave them another hundred dollars, and encourage all that are reading this to do as much as they can too.
Thanks Mike and Sharon!
