As you read this message, George W. Bush is a nightmare happening all over the media – hawking his memoir, rubbing our faces in the crimes of the Bush regime.
Just the other day, Bush was at Facebook headquarters being interviewed by Mark Zuckerberg. Just in case we needed it, what a vivid reminder of why we tried to drive out the Bush regime, why World Can’t Wait was formed in 2005 and why we started the War Criminals Watch project in January 2009. War Criminals Watch tracks Bush regime war criminals where they work in universities, ‘think’ tanks, courts, and in business. We also call out those in the current administration who are complicit in war crimes.
We now have the $64,000 question. Can you help us raise this amount by January 31, 2011 so we can continue our work – the work of World Can’t Wait and of this dedicated project, War Criminals Watch? Without your support, this will not be possible.

George Bush isn't an "elder statesman" - he's a war criminal!

Take a look at just some of what we have accomplished over the past year. Help us do even more in 2011.
• Working with other accountability groups, we protest Bush’s book tour. For example, in Utah Bush’s November visit prompted two demonstrations – in a park led by former mayor Rocky Anderson and in the parking lot at Costco where Bush was pushing his book.
• War Criminals Watch calendar tracks Bush and other war criminals as they tour the country promoting their books and raising funds for groups that advocate more neo-con projects.
• Downloadable bookmarks which can be placed strategically into W's memoir Decision Points by you and other local activists in your neighborhood bookstore are available on our site as well as posters, in various sizes and formats, which you can also download to make your protest visible.

• Our work in Berkeley CA around firing John Yoo has set the standard for others dealing with war criminals on their campuses. In October, our project, Fire John Yoo, working with other local organizations and with the backing of the Berkeley City Council, organized an outstanding and precedent-setting week of activities, “Berkeley Says No to Torture.”
• From September through November this fall, in conjunction with the Brooklyn Law School and NYC chapters of the National Lawyers Guild and Brooklyn for Peace, we sponsored a series of three panels, one a month, on “US Violations of International Law.”
• March 2010, we hosted two panels at the Left Forum at Pace University in New York City, as well as a table in the exhibition hall, and we’ll be there again in 2011.
• January 2011, we are bringing Andy Worthington’s authority on Guantanamo, director of the film, “Outside the Law: Stories from Guantánamo” to New York and Washington to participate in protests of nine years of the illegal US prison in Guantanamo. Hold the date: Tuesday, January 11, The White House & The US Department of Justice.
• Our web presence continues to advance with warcriminalswatch.org, our growing Facebook page and our blog on warisacrime.org.

People around the world know Bush is a war criminal and don't see Obama prosecuting his crimes. They don’t understand how war crimes can be swept under the rug and then expect to retain a shred of decency “going forward.” Together we can raise the relevant questions about US war crimes, bring war criminals to justice and change the course this country is on... because the world can't wait! Give generously.
With best wishes for the New Year!
