Tell Congress to Raise the Minimum Wage

Raising the federal minimum wage is an important step towards creating a more just economy. Join advocates and people of faith across the country urging elected officials and candidates seeking office to stand with us and support the Fair Minimum Wage Act raising the federal minimum wage and making it a federal issue in 2013.
Currently, the minimum wage doesn't support working families. All faith traditions affirm the dignity of work—jobs that provide the means to live safely and comfortably. If the federal minimum wage had kept up with inflation over the past 40 years, it would currently be at $10.55.
Putting more money into the pockets of America's workers is the right thing to do for workers and for the economy.
