People of faith joining global Hyatt boycott

Hyatt Hotel workers across the U.S. have had enough. In some cities, workers have gone on strike. Others have risked their jobs by talking about their working conditions. Now, Hyatt workers and allies are calling for a global boycott of Hyatt Hotels.

Hyatt workers suffer disrespect from managers. They face hard work for low pay and risk serious injury on the job. One hotel in Boston even fired all the housekeeping staff, and replaced them with temp workers earning minimum wage. Hyatt housekeepers clean up to 30 rooms in a shift. It's no wonder they had the highest injury rate of housekeepers studied at 50 hotel locations, according to a recent report.

As a person of faith, support the Hyatt workers in their struggle for dignity at work and pledge to honor the global boycott.

I PLEDGE TO HONOR THE GLOBAL BOYCOTT OF HYATT HOTELS:

I will not eat, sleep or meet at Hyatt Hotels anywhere in the world. I will not book any new events at Hyatt Hotels until workers win safe and sustainable working conditions.

As a person of faith, I publicly endorse the Hyatt boycott and I call upon other people of faith to join me in supporting these workers in their struggle.
