Become a Voice for Guaranteed, Affordable Choice in Health Care

The National Physicians Alliance believes that all people deserve the right to quality, affordable health care in keeping with principles set forth by the Insitute of Medicine:

Health care coverage should be universal.
Health care coverage should be continuous.
Health care coverage should be affordable to individuals and families.
The health insurance strategy should be affordable and sustainable for society.
Health insurance should enhance health and well-being by promoting access to high-quality care that is effective, efficient, safe, timely, patient-centered, and equitable.

Our goal is to develop local networks of physicians and NPA supporters who are well informed about the health care reform proposals before us in this election year and who are determined to keep health care at the top of the agenda. We are looking for physicians willing to help move colleagues and local lawmakers toward reform through such activities as:

Speaking to colleagues and medical students
Sharing personal stories about experiences with existing insurance options for patients
Writing op-eds and letters to editors
Positioning physicians as educational resources for local lawmakers and journalists
Gathering physician stories, vignettes, and quotes on these issues
